Stepping Up for Veterans: Spring Touch Lawn & Pest Control Offers Deserving Veteran A $30,000 Franchise Fee

Project EverGreen - Spring Touch Lawn & Pest Control

Giving back takes many forms. GreenCare and SnowCare for Troops volunteer Spring Touch Lawn & Pest Control in St. Peter, Minnesota is taking their commitment to helping military families and veterans to the next level.

The company announced it is searching the Midwest to find a deserving veteran to be the winner of a $30,000 franchise fee. The winning veteran will become the owner of a Spring Touch franchise and will also receive training and mentoring from the founders, first year of strategic marketing, customer call center support, and professional accounting included in the franchise fee prize.

This prize will enable the winning veteran to start their own business in the selected states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan and Illinois. Qualifying veterans can enter the giveaway at the Spring Touch website.

“When I look back at my time in the Royal Australian Air Force, I can see how my military training and experience not only prepared me for running a business, but developed characteristics and skills that have set me a part and helped me be successful in business,” says Nathan Newlands, co-founder of Spring Touch. “I believe that Veterans have what it takes to run a successful business and I’m passionate about helping them accomplish that.”

The winning veteran will become part of a 45 year old proven brand that has experienced significant growth over the last 10 years. A typical Spring Touch franchise offers services in lawn care, pest control and irrigation

Marv Kottke, founder of Spring Touch, says the lawn care industry is a great fit for veterans looking for a post-military career.

“Not only is our co-founder a veteran, but we have had many outstanding vets work for Spring Touch over the years,” says Kottke. “They love getting to work outside, the variety of the jobs, and the opportunity to have an active lifestyle. We know veterans have what it takes to be successful as business owners and we can’t wait to help them.”

Spring Touch Lawn & Pest Control was founded in 1973, by Marv Kottke, and is now one of the largest independently owned lawn care businesses in the United States. Kottke, alongside his son-in-law and daughter, franchised the company in 2018 to share their successful business model across the United States.

Spring Touch differentiates itself by offering twelve revenue opportunities (which would normally require buying three separate franchises), a commitment to state-of-the-art technology, training and mentoring from the founders themselves, and modern branding.

“We are passionate about helping men and women grow successful businesses, create their dream lives, and make a difference in the world through charity involvement,” says Kottke.
