Disabled Veterans
We currently assist active-duty service members nationwide. Effective February 2026, we have opened our program to disabled veterans in select states with strong volunteer capacity. These states include Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas. Ongoing changes to the program may be put into effect at any time.
If the veteran is approved for free services and a volunteer is available in their area, the veteran may receive up to one year of service. If services are needed beyond one year, the veteran must re-register annually.
Eligibility Requirements
-
- The veteran must have a physical, military service-connected injury(s) that impacts their physical capacity, mobility, or stamina, preventing them from caring for their lawn or clearing snow from their driveway.
- The household must not have any able-bodied person who could perform the service. An able-bodied person is generally defined as someone between the ages of 16-65 who is not disabled and is capable of mowing a lawn.
- Eligibility is calculated based on household size and monthly income. To qualify, the household’s income must not exceed 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
Household Size 100% FPL 150% FPL 200% FPL 400% FPL 1 $15,060 $22,590 $30,120 $60,240 2 $20,440 $30,660 $40,880 $81,760 3 $25,820 $38,730 $51,640 $103,280 4 $31,200 $46,800 $62,400 $124,800 5 $36,580 $54,870 $73,160 $146,320 Proof of Disabled Veteran Status/Service

How It Works
-
How to Register
Military orders are required for registration.
-
Choose Your Services
Choose all lawn and snow services for the entire qualified absence. You may be matched with more than one volunteer to take care of all of your service needs.
-
Getting Matched
Volunteers and military families are matched locally by zip code and service needs. Volunteers may not always service your exact area and you may need to be reassigned.
-
Connect With Your Volunteer
For protection of our military, your name and address is not provided to the volunteer. The service member/family must contact the volunteer to arrange services.
