GreenCare for Troops Debuts Updated Volunteer Marketing Guide

The guide covers a range of topics, including social media and email marketing, website promotion, and media outreach strategies.

Amplify and Enhance Your Volunteer Experience

Last year, our GreenCare for Troops message reached thousands of people, and with your help this year, it can reach even more.

Project EverGreen is excited to announce the debut of the new GreenCare for Troops marketing guide for volunteers, sponsors, in-kind donors and other stakeholder promote designed to provide you with the tools and resources needed to effectively promote our cause and initiatives.

Project EverGreen Marketing Guide - Project EverGreen

This comprehensive guide covers a range of topics, including social media and email marketing, website promotion, and media outreach strategies. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to the program, this guide is a valuable resource to help you make a meaningful impact. The guide was created for you and can be used to supplement existing or new promotional efforts.

“Empowerment is the key to using our new volunteer marketing guide. It’s not just a tool; it’s a roadmap to amplify your voice, extend our reach, and make a tangible impact in our community,” said Ki Matsko, program manager for GreenCare for Troops. “Dive in, explore, and let your creativity and passion shine through!”

The goal is to make amplifying our message and your company’s participation as easy and empowering as possible. We encourage you to explore the guide and use its insights to enhance your volunteer experience.

Contact us at info@projectevergreen.org with your efforts and a company logo (or take a selfie if you’re educating customers and community members), and we’ll make sure to share it through our social media outlets.

Thank you for your continued dedication and support. Together, we can achieve great things.

About GreenCare for Troops

GreenCare for Troops is a nationwide outreach program sponsored by Project EverGreen and our company to care for lawns and landscapes of families of deployed military personnel.

In addition to Nufarm as the Title Sponsor, Platinum Partners include Toro, SiteOne Landscape Supply, AMGUARD Environmental Sciences  and Heritage Landscape Supply. The Silver Partner is Arborjet/Ecologel.

Affiliate Partners include the Connecticut Grounds Keepers Association and the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association.

GreenCare for Troops is endorsed by the National Association of Landscape Professionals

How can military families request services?

Families may register online at the Project EverGreen website or by calling Project EverGreen’s Ki Matsko (kimatsko@projectevergreen.com), Nici Trem (nicitrem@projectevergreen.com) and Shelley Kane (shelleykane@projectevergreen.com) at 888.611.2955.

Why are green spaces important to military families?

Parks, lawns, landscapes and maintained green spaces help to mitigate temperature increases in communities and significantly reduce energy use and cooling costs. Project EverGreen’s initiatives – GreenCare for Troops and GreenCare for Communities – have made a significant impact.

Through its nationwide base of professional volunteers, Project EverGreen has connected people, plants and their communities to maximize the health of grass, plants and trees, which in turn sequesters carbon and cleans the air.

Both initiatives support healthy green spaces in neighborhoods and cities, enabling maintained green spaces to function as the lungs of the city and offsetting the negative effects of a warming environment.
