GreenCare for Troops Volunteer Takes Home Seven Seals Award

Project EverGreen - Seven seals

Congratulations to GreenCare for Troops volunteer Green Pest Solutions and its parent company, Green Lawn Fertilizing, for being named the Seven Seals Award by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).

The Seven Seals Award is the broadest and most inclusive award given by ESGR and is presented at the discretion of the State Chair or by ESGR senior leadership. This award is presented in recognition of significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative, or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission, to include the efforts of the more than 4,500 volunteers who carry out ESGR’s mission across the Nation on a daily basis.

greenpest | Project EverGreenSergeant Major Jeff Hill, ESGR Volunteer and retired Army reserve, was present at Green Pest Solutions headquarters in West Chester to hand deliver the award to Matt Jesson after a meet and greet breakfast. Twenty-four members of the Green Pest solutions were on site to attend Jeff’s speech and congratulate Matt on the award.

Jesson and the entire Green Pest Solutions team earned this prestigious award for their efforts in hiring and supporting veterans and military personnel. Jose Velez, a technician at Green Pest Solutions and a proud member of the National Guard, was on hand to help receive the award for his efforts in helping and serving our military. Jose is currently enlisted in the reserves and takes one month away from work each year to serve his country.

““We are honored to receive the Seven Seals Award. We have a lot of respect and gratitude for all the hard working members of our military. Jose and our ten other team members from the military are shining examples of how military members can be both outstanding soldiers for our country and outstanding employees for a fast-growing local business like ours. ” says Matt Jesson, owner and president of Green Pest Solutions.

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, was established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee’s military commitment.

gl | Project EverGreenGreen Pest Solutions and its parent company, Green Lawn Fertilizing have made a commitment to supporting the Military. The company has donated trucks to Cars for U.S. Troops, is an active participant in Project Evergreen’s GreenCare for Troops program, which provides complimentary lawn and landscape services for the families of currently deployed military personnel. The company has also donated to the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, and has been an active participant in Renewal and Remembrance at Arlington National Cemetery, sending 10+ team members for the past eleven years.

Green Lawn Fertilizing / Green Pest Solutions currently employs more than ten active or former military members. Each and every one of them is an exceptional employee that goes above and beyond to perform their job functions. Their discipline, teamwork, professionalism, and pride in accomplishing a mission are the perfect qualities to have in the military as well as the pest control industry.
