Project EverGreen teamed up with RealGreen Solutions to encourage green industry members to register with Project EverGreen as a GreenCare or SnowCare for Troops volunteer at RealGreen’s annual users conference in Orlando.
Robert Tabor of Pest 911 in Weirsdale, Florida walked away as the the winner of the GreenCare and SnowCare for Troops Volunteer Drive Drawing and took home a $250 Home Depot gift card after registering to be a GreenCare for Troops volunteer. Tabor received his prize from RealGreen CEO Joe Kucik and Project EverGreen GCFT/SCFT Program Manager, Ki Matsko, during a reception at the event.
Tabor’s talents will be put to good use immediately as he has been matched up with two military families in the central Florida area to provide them with basic lawn care services.
“The need for volunteers to help military families and post 9/11 disabled veterans continues to grow and we are appreciative of RealGreen’s continued support of Project EverGreen’s initiatives,” said Cindy Code, executive director of Project EverGreen. “We appreciate Robert Tabor stepping up to help our nation’s heroes and encourage others to register today.”
