Location: Haven House, 600 W Cabarrus St., Raleigh, NC 27603
Community Impact: Arysta LifeScience employees volunteered their time and talent to support a local United Way partner agency and Project EverGreen to enhance the outdoor living space at the Haven House located in Raleigh, NC. In addition to improving the outdoor area around the Haven House, the Arysta LifeScience volunteers prepared a garden that will allow the kids to practice their gardening skills.
“Arysta LifeScience enthusiastically supports Project EverGreen and the United Way, which is why we are lending our time and talent to this community effort,” said Annetta Johnson, Head, North America Human Resources, Arysta LifeScience. “Our company’s core business is helping customers grow things around the world, so we are especially excited about the opportunity to help ‘green up’ Haven House right here in our local community.”
The Haven House Services is a non-profit agency that helps struggling young people and their families develop positive and successful relationships at home, at school, and in the community. Since 1973, Haven House has worked with families, schools, the courts and governmental agencies to help vulnerable kids find their way to a positive, productive life.
“The new area really is so much more pleasant to see. We now have a quiet place for our young people to meditate on benches surrounded by beautiful flowers, to collect their thoughts…a treasure for the population we serve. Arysta LifeScience volunteer efforts have made a tangible difference,” says Sherita Young, Haven House Program Coordinator.
